On Tuesday 8 February, for the first time the commencement of the Australian Federal Parliamentary year began with a morning prayer service at the St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Canberra. A service presided by our Spiritual Leader, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope and Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis in the presence of the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison; Federal Labor Leader, Anthony Albanese; Maria Vamvakinou MP; Steve Georganas MP; Ambassador of Greece in Australia, George Papacostas; and the President of the GOCCC, Mr Loukadelis and others.

We pray that the Lord enlighten and guide all our Federal Parliamentarians.
