Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
As you are all aware, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as part of the celebrations of the 100-year anniversary of the establishment of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, visited Pantanassa Monastery on Monday, 7 October 2024.
Many of you were present to witness this momentous occasion. His All-Holiness was received with an Official Welcoming Service and addressed the faithful with inspiring words. During the service, His All Holiness bestowed upon Elder Stephanos, the former Abbot of our monastery, the officium of Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, a significant honour and recognition of his dedicated service.
